“And this is the secret: Christ lives in you…” Colossians 1:27

Christ in me

I have been on a journey with some of my fellow brothers and sisters into “The Deeper Life” for a few years now, which has led me to creating this website. If you are unfamiliar with what this is, I believe the phrase was coined by Andrew Murray in his book The Deeper Christian Life. This also goes by some other various terms, including the higher life, the abiding life, the Spirt-filled life, the exchanged life, and the burning heart (“Did not our heart burn within us . . . ?” – Luke 24:32) which A.W. Tozer often spoke about (see Fellowship of the Burning Heart).

I have set my face like flint, determined to know our awesomely glorious and exceedingly abundant Indwelling Christ in a deeper way. I believe this all really started to take root in me after reading a book by one of my favorite christian authors Watchman Nee. The book that changed my life by Watchman Nee is called The Normal Christian Life, and set me free from a lot of “religiosity” that was hindering my walk with our Lord.

In the past couple of years I have almost shut down my facebook account several times because I just want to get “unplugged” from it all. There is just something about the social networking websites that seems unsettling to me, but I have  not brought myself to do it for a couple reasons.

First and foremost it helps me stay connected with people I know, and helps me meet other christians around the world, which has been a big driving factor to me staying on and just reducing my “friend” count. More importantly I have received messages from facebook friends over the last few years telling me how the posts I have made have helped them in some way.

These messages that I regularly receive from my friends on facebook have led me to start this website/blog, so that I can post the messages here for others to read as well my facebook friends. I will start by copying some of my old posts that I feel would be edifying for others from my facebook page to help build some content on here, then add new posts as the Lord quickens my heart to do so.

Click here to go to my blog now, with much love!
